What size of van will I get?
Our representatives will calculate the appropriate van size depending on what you need moved. Surveys are carried for big moves, for houses with more than 3 bedrooms. The vehicle options are Transit & Luton vans.
Can I move over the weekend, or overnight?
We can arrange your removals services for every day of the week, any time you want. Bear in mind that extra fee applies for late working hours (after 19:00h). Holiday appointments are not a problem as well. Being convenient is our priority.
How many men will do my removal?
The moving crew can consist of up to three men, depending on amount of goods to be moved, and the schedule demands your move has. We are responsible for providing you with a sufficient number of movers.
How long will my removal take?
Our representatives will make sure to calculate the time needed for your move. It depends on the amount of goods to move, plus the distance that has to be covered. Parking space should also be taken into consideration. The closer the van is parked to your property, the less time it would take the movers to load all your boxes and furniture. Our representatives take all factors into account, so in order to get the time for your removal properly calculated make sure to tell us all the specifics and details of your move.
Do you provide packing and boxes?
Yes, we can include boxes and packing service for your house, office removals, and man and van service. We have high quality packing materials(such as bubble wrap, strong tape and packing paper) to guarantee safe transportation of your goods.
What do removal costs include? Are there any hidden or extra charges?
Best Move arranges every single detail and provides you with a quote based on the estimated time for the move. We believe in transparency, so we try to include everything in our calculations. Unexpected situations and delays can occur, so we cannot guarantee our quote is final.
What about moving pets along?
We do NOT move pets.
Do you do piano removals?
We have the equipment, vans, and men with experience in moving pianos (excluding grand piano).
How long would it take for the removal van to get to point B?
There are some specifics, for example the safety requirements, which demand the driver to take a 45 min break every 200 miles. Maximum speed is limited to 56mph. On long-distance trips, the driver may not be legally able to complete the trip for a single day. To learn the exact time it will take, contact our representatives.
How do I pay for the man and van service?
Once the arrangement is made and you accept the quote and the final duration is confirmed, we require the payment to be done before completion of the job. Please note that your card may be charged for the full price of the Service immediately upon booking or at any time before the Service begins. We advise our customers to pay via debit or credit card.
How are storage payments made?
During the booking process, a customer agent will ask about the estimated value of your belongings. Storage is calculated on weekly basis. So, please note that the price may be amended depending on whether the number of storage containers changes. If such a situation occurs, you will be informed within 2 business days.
Are my goods insured?
Our services are completely insured. All prices include insurance and VAT.
What are we not allowed to move or store?
Please bear in mind that we cannot move hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods, firearms or weapons, biohazardous items, or drugs.
Who Arranges the Parking and How?
If parking in front of your property is restricted, you will have to contact your council and arrange a temporary visitor permit. If a parking space is not guaranteed, the removals van will receive a ticket, which will be included to your bill. So check the parking restrictions in your area, as well as the new destinations ones, and make sure you pay the inexpensive fees now, rather than the heavy fines later.
How much notice do you require?
Generally, our customers book 7-14 days before the actual service. However, we will do our best to arrange short-notice calls. Make sure to think everything out, because cancellation fees may apply, if the notice is less than 48 hours.
Do I have to empty my drawers?
No, it is not necessary, as long as there are not any heavy or fragile items. Still, some pieces of furniture, like self assembly units, may not be strong enough to be carried full, so we advise to empty such completely.
Do you move IT Equipment?
We can take care of PCs, monitors, printers, or even more complicated things – we can move your server or network, in partnership with a local IT company.
Do you move photocopiers?
Yes, we move photocopiers, only if they belong to your company. However, if the machine is leased, the leasing company must permit the move.
Do you move safes?
Small safes up to 33 lbs (15 kg) can be moved with our regular removals service. However, medium and large safes may require expert intervention. We can arrange a local partner to help with uninstalling, moving, and installing the safe to its new place.
Do we have to empty filing cabinets?
For safety purposes, we recommend all file cabinets to be emptied. If the files are not significantly important and heavy, they can be left in the cabinets.
